About Tidal Magazine

Tidal Magazine is an independent online and print publication—we’re a small and self-funded operation run by volunteers. Our team is dedicated to celebrating marginalized voices and telling stories at the intersection of fashion, art, and culture. Our readers turn to us for thoughtful editorial content and fresh perspectives that inspire and challenge the status quo.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a creative, organized, and driven individual to help support the Tidal Online production. In this role, you’ll be responsible for photographer and crew outreach, scheduling, and attending shoots to lend production support. You’ll work directly with the Editor-in-Chief Anna Wolf, and the rest of the Tidal Online production team, gaining mentorship while having the freedom to experiment and explore new ideas.

Key Responsibilities

Outreach: Helping the team research and outreach to potential talent—whether that be photographers, stylists, or hair and makeup artists.

Content Production: See through a production from inception to publishing. Whether this be a pitch, submission, or a story from the ground up, you’ll take ownership of select stories to guide the team through the process of getting their work published online.

On-Set Production: Attend photo shoots to act as production support (when available).

Behind-the-Scenes Coverage: Attend photo shoots and events (when available), capturing behind-the-scenes moments for Tidal’s socials.

Editorial Ideation: You’ll be working alongside the entire creative and production team and will have the opportunity to present and produce your own editorial ideas. (optional)

Who You Are

Passionate: You’re genuinely interested in fashion, culture, and storytelling and want to help grow a brand with huge potential.

Creative & Organized: You have an eye for sophisticated design and art direction and enjoy supporting content that resonates with audiences, while also staying organized and meeting deadlines.

Eager to Learn: You’re excited about getting hands-on experience, trying out new strategies, and growing your skills in a real-world setting.

Adaptable: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable juggling multiple platforms and tasks at once.

Qualifications

Some experience in production or marketing is a plus, but we’re mainly looking for someone who is enthusiastic and ready to jump in!

Strong interest in fashion, culture, and storytelling.

Attention to detail, organized, punctual, committed.
